A Little Peek Behind the Scenes……

Well….. if you read my last “Words From the Author “ post, you know I promised that I would be keeping my readers updated on what is happening here at Preston’s Adventures.

And I have been keeping busy!

While things may have seemed quiet for a while, there has actually been quite a bit happening behind the scenes. I’ve been writing, planning, working on upcoming events, reaching out to my readers, visiting local stores, thinking about new stories and watching this little dream continue to grow.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in my first-ever local author event, and what an exciting experience it was! Meeting readers, other authors, talking about Preston’s Adventures, sharing The Wagon and seeing people excited about the journey has made me even more excited about what is ahead.
I also had an amazing opportunity to do my very first speaking event! Both experiences were so very special to me. Stepping out from behind the pages of my book and actually getting to talk with people about Preston, his story and why I decided to begin writing Preston’s Adventures was something I will always remember.
Every new experience is teaching me something and helping me grow— not only as an author but as I figure out exactly where this journey is going to take me.

And it looks like things are just getting started!

One of the things I am especially excited about is how quickly my fall calendar is filling up with school visits and classroom readings!!
I had the opportunity last spring to do a few classroom readings and it truly is the best! Being in the classroom and being able to share Preston’s Adventures with the students is something that I dreamed about when I started writing the books. It truly warms this mom and teacher’s heart!

And yes…… BOOK #2 is still coming!💙

I’m not going to give too much away just yet, but I will give you a tiny little hint…………..

🌼This story begins with a little boy, a special moment, and something unexpected.

That’s all I’m saying for now. 😉

What I can tell you is that is that this book is especially close to my heart!

If The Wagon introduced you to Preston’s joy and excitement as a little boy, I believe this next story will introduce you to something even deeper.

His heart. ❤️

This is the book where I feel like you will really get to see the sweet, thoughtful little boy Preston was.

And I truly believe that when you meet him through these pages, YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THE LITTLE BOY HE WAS.

There are so many little moments from Preston’s childhood that live in my heart. Some make me laugh, some make me smile and some bring back emotions that are difficult to put into words.

Those little moments are exactly why I wanted to write these books.

I want children and adults of all ages to discover Preston through his adventures. I want them to smile at his stories, laugh at his experiences and slowly get to know the little boy behind the books.

MORE EXCITING NEWS!
I’m excited to share that Preston’s Adventures will be available at Patti’s new toy store, G.B. Duck’s Toy Emporium beginning this week! I absolutely love the idea of Preston’s Adventures finding a home in a toy store where children and families are already coming together to play, imagine and make memories. It feels like such a natural fit for Preston’s Adventures and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity!💙

And maybe… just maybe…. there will be more clues before the BIG reveal!🌼
